Our story
Philoxenia Charities began as a ministry of Holy Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in 2004 with the purchase of a home. More homes were later added, and the ministry has since become its own 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. What we do
We offer free temporary housing to Mayo Clinic patients in a safe and clean environment providing comfort to those in need.
Why We're unique
We’re located blocks away from the Mayo Clinic, recognized as the best hospital in the nation year after year with more No. 1-ranked specialties than any other hospital.
Meeting a need
Every year, over 1.3M patients visit the Mayo Clinic and receive expert care. In support of these patients, our units are in very high demand and booked out months in advance.
International Outreach
We’ve welcomed guests from all over the United States and worldwide including Venezuela, Albania, Bulgaria, Russia, Greece, Ukraine, Cyprus, and more!
